Hi, I’m Monty the Moose, the official mascot for The University of Vermont Children’s Hospital. You may have seen me at the hospital, or met me at a local parade or in town at an event supporting our children and families. Learn more about how I became the Children’s mascot here.
Today, I’d like to introduce you to my new traveling buddy, “FACT Monty”. FACT, or the UVM Medical Center Coordinated Transport, is our highly specialized critical care transport service for patients – including children – who need to be transferred to Vermont Children’s Hospital at the UVM Medical Center from another regional hospital for advanced care.
FACT Monty rides along in the critical care vehicles with the FACT team, marches in parades with me, and lately, has been traveling to amazing places all over the world with the FACT staff and the Vermont Children’s providers and staff.
While I’m very happy to spend my time in the local community and Vermont Children’s Hospital to support the children and families who need me, I do love to see the photos FACT Monty brings back with him from his travels.
I thought you might like to see them, too, so we’ll be posting photos of FACT Monty’s adventures on the UVM Medical Center’s Facebook page over the next few months. Stay tuned!
