“Eat well,” everyone says. But what does that mean? It’s a question that can’t be answered quickly.

The UVM Medical Center has created the Healthy Harvest Giveaway, a four-week promotion where you’ll not only learn more about good nutritional habits, you’ll have the chance to win the very stuff you need to eat healthy—and to eat well!

THE PRIZES

Every day, we’ll award a $10 gift card to the UVM Medical Center Farmer’s Market and Cafés. And at the end of the giveaway, we’ll pick two people at random (one VM Medical Center employee and one non-employee) who will each win a $500 gift card courtesy of New England Federal Credit Union and the UVM Medical Center. Use the gift card to purchase a fall/winter CSA subscription from the Community Supported Agriculture farm of your choice.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Each week, we will focus on something different, with educational and informational posts, not to mention some tasty recipes you can make.

Themes are:

  • Week 1: Festival of Fruits
  • Week 2: Great Grains
  • Week 3: Setting a Veggie Table
  • Week 4: Become a Protein Pro

Sometimes, we will choose a winner from Instagram. Watch for those posts! And, at least once per week, we will choose a winner from someone who pins to their own Pinterest “Healthy Harvest Giveaway” Board. Just use the hashtag #MyHealthyHarvest on both Instagram and Pinterest and watch for instructions on our Facebook wall for the particulars of winning on Instagram and Pinterest.

At the end of the giveaway, we will choose the Grand Prize winners at random from everyone who participated. The more you are involved, the better your chances of winning!
